Terrazzo Tile has its roots back to Italy. In fact, terrazzo means terrace or balcony in Italian. It is a mixture of different components. This material is as old as ancient pyramids in Egypt but the modern usage of terrazzo started in Venice, Italy. Terrazzo is perhaps the oldest environmentally friendly flooring product in history. The greatest support to terrazzo, which became easier with the emergence of electrical appliances in the early 20th century, was the scientific and technical developments during the Second World War. Accordingly, epoxy resins with strong binding and high chemical resistance have started to be used in terrazzo applications.
